Each Year the annual World Thumb Wrestling Championships is held at the ‘new’ mecca of Thumb Wrestling, Beccles¬†in Suffolk. On display are some of the World’s top thumb wrestlers who battle it out to see who will be the champions. If you wish to enter the next World Thumb Wrestling Championships, you can buy tickets to the event online or arrive before 14:00 on the day so that you can be registered – if there are spaces left.

This event sees the very best thumb wrestlers from across the world battling it out to be crowned the official World thumb wrestling champion.

“World Thumb Wrestling is a fun sport, where competitors are encouraged to glam up their thumbs and choose a ‘stage name’ for their thumb before entering into battle”.

Such a wealth of thumb wrestling talent is on show ¬†each year the World Thumb Wrestling Championships makes headlines around the world. The Championships have been filmed by channel 5, is always covered by the local media, has had celebrity contestants and this year it having a feature-length docu-movie made by a L.A. based documentary making team who are following the American champion in his quest to pries the men’s title from Scotland’s, Graeme, ‘flash’ Cunningham . With entrants coming from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland, Ireland, Holland, South Africa, Poland, France, Spain, Australia, USA, Thailand and gosh knows where else this sport is getting BIGGER each year. The W.T.W.C. always likes to thank the event location as its always proves to be perfect place for such a contest, and more pleased that both the competitors and spectators always have an enjoyable and memorable day.

We are naturally hoping that this event will increase the awareness of our sport throughout the World and aim to make this years World Thumb Wrestling Championships bigger and better each year.
